I know that some of you are still experiencing Winter and getting snow. Here in North Texas, we are already experiencing Spring weather. They are forecasting 80's for later in the week.
My allergies are not happy when everything starts blooming, but there is one thing I love about spring- Texas Wildflowers.
I especially love our state flower- the Bluebonnet.
They usually start to bloom in mid to late March and are gone by mid May. Brides love to have their picture taken in fields of them, and if you drive down some of the major freeways you can see families pulled over to the side of the road taking pictures of their children in the fields of them too. I've never had my picture taken in them, but I actually hope to resolve that this spring. I want to take a road trip to find just the right spot.
Another one of my favorite things are fabrics by MODA. Leave it to them to come out with this gorgeous selection of fabrics- "Hill Country Spring".
For those of you that don't know, the "Hill Country" is central Texas, pretty much the area east of Austin and north of San Antonio. While North Texas is basically flat, and West Texas is basically desert, this area is hilly, lush, and green. There are many beautiful lakes and rivers.
To celebrate my 100th post I am giving away 2 charm packs of "Hill Country Spring"
There are 22 charms in each pack. Just enough to make yourself a nice table topper or a runner and some placemats. You will also recieve a set of my Criss-Cross Coasters made with Bluebonnet fabric from another Moda line a few years ago.To win this giveaway, leave a comment in this post before midnight, Thursday, 2/26. Tell me your favorite thing about Spring where you live. I will put your name in a pot and post the winner Friday morning. If you post a link in your blog about my giveaway and let me know I'll put your name in the pot twice.
Good Luck!

Oooohhh pick me pick me!! Do I have to tell about Spring in Texas? How about Spring in central NY where I grew up. I have memories of driving down the road and being in awe of the gorgeous wildflowers all along the side of the road. Life renewed.
I love your coasters. Makes me want to make s spring set.
I love spring here in Florida because I know there will be no more frost and my flowers will all bloom. I am still clipping all the plants that froze and I have spring fever bad!
I would love to participate in your giveaway. Congrats on your
100th post.
What I love about spring. In Colorado I love how the weather begins to warm up and the flowers start to poke thru the earth in search of sunshine.

Please enter me in your drawing. I love the bluebonnets...we have family in the Hill Country. Spring in Oklahoma brings warm breezes, soft green on trees and lots of thunderstorms! I love spring tornado season :) This is my first visit to your blog...will be back to visit again.
Thanks for inviting me to your blog via The Quilting Bee Forum. What I love most about spring is baby arms! You know, when the weather gets warm, my granddaughters start wearing short sleeves again and I can see their adorable little arms! There is nothing cuter! Please enter me in your drawing. The charm squares are beautiful.
Thanks for the link at TQB! This has been a fun little tour of your part of the world.
My favorite part of spring is the tulips. I live in Washington State and we have a HUGE tulip festival here. We try to go every year around my birthday.
Have a great day! Heidi
Oh love that .... please throw me into the pot. thanks
See you over at the BEE.
Please add me to your giveaway! Living on a farm I just love all signs of Spring, the trees budding out, flowers popping up, birds singing, new farm babies, and things like that.

Good blog andf great pictures. If I win, would you send directions for making the coasters? I've seen many of them but never directions. Anyway, out here in beautiful San Diego County, my favorite thing about spring is the sun and moderate temperatures, the trees and flowers in bloom. Flowers in our deserts are gorgeous!
Wow! I just made it! *S*
count me in, pls.....I'm adding you to my bloglines list...I saw you post over on The Queen Bee.
I have been one of those pulled over on the freeway to get pictures in the bluebonnets. My family vacationed there when I was in 7th grade, and we stopped several times to get our pictures taken.
